CT Coronary Angiography
- The Coronary CT is noninvasive imaging system that directly visualizes the atherosclerotic plaque of fat or calcium deposited on the vessel wall, and the severity of blockages. These complaints can eventually cause fatigue, chest pain or even a heart attack.
- Another use of this diagnostic method is the evaluation of stenting and bypass procedures.
- The study takes about 10 minutes and is done with a multislice CT spiroidal scanner. Requires iodinated contrast.
- The images (approximately 2000) are reprocessed with a special software in 3 dimensions.
The high quality images enable us to study the organs in high resolution.
