Therapeutic colonoscopy
At the conventional endoscopy suite for diagnostic and advanced therapeutic colonoscopies (directed by Dr. G.Salgado - European Board Surgical Qualification in Coloproctology).
Therapeutic colonoscopy would be reserved for only those cases in which polyps are found and need to be removed by skilled endoscopists in a fully equipped units for therapeutic colonoscopy (endoscopic removal of a polyp).
This combination (skilled endoscopist and fully equipped units) unfortunately is not necessarily guaranteed in many places in which endoscopic procedures are performed.
